Raising a bantam silkie chicken on my porch?

I’m moving to an apartment next year, and I wanted to know if I could raise a laying bantam silkie in a limited space. I’ll have a porch that’s roughly four to five feet by ten feet, and the great thing is that it’s the third floor so I don’t have to worry about most predators. I’m also transporting my small potted vegetable garden and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make the ground comfortable for the hen, so it won’t just be a hard bare floor. I live in Georgia so we’ve got a nice warm climate.
FYI: Bantams are tiny chickens. I’m not going to intentionally raise a larger animal in a cramped space. Please answer only if you know about bantams!

It should be ok, as long as you are aloud to have the bird their. I personally have never had a bantam, but i have a friend who used to breed and sell them and she kept them all in areas of about that size. It should be just fine as long as it has no access of jumping off, or anything attacking it(which is a great thing that you are not on the bottom floor.) If the porch does not have walls or a screen you may want to ass a screen netting as so to not let hawks in after the bird. Good luck.
